Frozen Fruits

Are you looking for ways to get your kids to eat more fruits?  This is by far the simplest solution you can find!

Frozen fruits

Up until 2 years old, my eldest daughter ate literally everything.  All meats, fruits, vegetables, dairy, etc.  Then for some reason, she realized she had a preference for meats, dairy and grains.  One by one, to my horror, she stopped eating all her fruits and veggies!

I tried to put them in a smoothie or a freshly squeezed juice but that didn’t take.  I did manage to get her to have some in baked goods and fresh fruit popsicles.  One day, I had no fruits in the house except a bag of frozen blueberries so I gave them to her to try.  Low and behold she actually ate them and enjoyed it!

There’s something about the taste and texture of fruits that are frozen.  They take on the consistency of an icy treat and the flavours and sweetness intensify.  Next, I tried frozen bananas and strawberries which were also a hit!

You can buy frozen fruits from the grocery store or freeze them yourself at home.  I freeze them silicon freezer trays.  They stack nicely in the freezer and you don’t have to waste any plastic freezer bags.

Hope this tip can help out any parents who are having trouble getting their kids to eat fruits!
