Lower the bad cholesterol guacamole

This guacamole recipe is easy, fresh and delicious. It'll be your favourite side-kick for everything from chips, nachos, quesadillas or even sandwiches! Not only does it taste good, but its also good for you. Did you know that eating guacamole can help you lower LDL (bad) cholesterol?

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large avocados or 3 small avocadoes ripe
  • 2 tablespoon diced tomatoes seeds removed
  • 2 tablespoon cilantro chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon red onion finely diced
  • 1 green jalapeno seeds removed and finely diced (optional, add it if you like a little spice!)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper

Instructions
 

  • Slice avocado in half and remove the seed. Scoop out the flesh into a bowl and mash until it’s the consistency you like eg. chunky or smooth.
  • Add the tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, red onion, jalapeno, lime juice, salt and pepper.
  • Taste and adjust the seasonings to your liking. I always end up adding more lime, salt and pepper.
